Hello and welcome to the third issue of the tExtended newsletter.
This newsletter is published every six months. It aims to share an overview of project developments, events and news, and give information on the next steps we are about to take.
This newsletter is published eighteen months after the start of the project activities; below are the tExtended project highlights in the last six months.

What’s new with tExtended?
18M meeting in Ghent, Belgium

Our partner Green Liberty | Zaļā brīvība has published a study on collection and use of post-consumption textiles in Latvia, which delves into understanding how Latvia and the Baltic countries are tackling the challenge of establishing a system for the separate collection of textile waste by 2025:

Participation
At the end of March, several tExtended partners, including our coordinator VTT, have been involved in the final conference of Telavalue and New Cotton Project in Espoo, Finland, showcasing our research and technological advancements:

tExtended partners have been busy travelling to various events and conferences during these last six months, promoting the project and our research and solutions to different types of public:
- In April we have attended the World Circular Economy Forum 2024, he world’s leading event for circular economy leaders, highlighting the most impactful circular solutions from around the world;
- In April we have attended as well Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens in Frankfurt, Germany:
- In May there has been the Textile ETP Annual Conference, in Mechelen, Belgium, where our partners have attended the event too.
Networking
On 30th March we have celebrated the UN’s Zero Waste Day, with our sister projects REDOL EU Project and MOBICCON-PRO:

Our partners keep being active also in the ECOSYSTEX community, where we keep following the workshops organized by the community and participating in the working groups.
