Last week, several tExtended partners have participated to Circular Textile Days, an event that takes place in s’Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands, focused on circular textile solutions, presenting sustainable innovations, sharing circular textile information and giving relevant network opportunities for the business.

On September 18, Jean-Luc Derycke, Director of Sustainable Development at Utexbel, lead a session titled “Closing the Loop: Dr. Green and Family”, where he explained how Utexbel is leading the way in textile recycling and in turning waste into innovative fabrics. The session reached industrial launderers, garment makers, and purchasing managers looking to implement circular solutions.

On the second day of the event, Birgit Stubbe, research scientist at Centexbel, has been one of the speakers at the side event “Harnessing EU research for industry impact: Collaboration, innovation, and systemic change”, where she has represented tExtended. The aim of the panel was to show how EU-funded projects are driving systemic change in textile sustainability and circularity, discussing practical industry applications of research results, technological innovations that address current industry needs, and which systemic changes are needed for advancing textile sustainability and circularity.
