Circular textiles awareness activity – Portugal (31 March 2026)
To introduce younger audiences to the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and to encourage more responsible relationships with clothing through playful learning.
How has the activity been organized:
The session used age-appropriate questions, textile examples and a game-based approach to discuss clothing use, repair, second life and responsible disposal.
What was achieved and what that learned
Playful interaction made the concepts easier to understand.
The activity showed that simple messages and visible objects are essential when working with children.
Future visions
The activity can be repeated as a short awareness module in after-school contexts, with questions adjusted by age and difficulty.
