Foaming pilot of PU foam-based polyols
The objective was to demonstrate that polyols containing recycled flexible PU foam could be used in rigid PU insulation foam formulations.
What was achieved and what that learned
Polyols containing 7% recycled flexible PU foam were successfully evaluated in laboratory and pilot-scale foaming trials, leading to the production of four insulation panels with expected properties.

Future visions
The next step is to produce larger quantities of recycled PU-based polyol and demonstrate its use under industrial manufacturing conditions.
