On 5th and 6th November 2024, tExtended partners have gathered for the fourth plenary meeting in Porto, in Portugal.
The meeting marks the end of the first half of work of the tExtended project, two years after its start, and it has been hosted by INESC TEC at their premises. The meeting has been held over two days, and it has brought together representatives from the project consortium, coming from 10 different European countries.
The discussions have focused on sharing updates on the progresses obtained in the various project activities. As the project is now entering the second phase of work and focusing on bringing together the studies and solutions developed in the first half, the partners have been able to use this in-person meeting to plann more cooperation activities and future discussions.
During the first day, the General Assembly meeting has been held as well, to discuss key updates on the development of the project so far and planning to further the tExtended working strategy.
In the second day the partners have organized a “show and tell” with samples of project results obtained in these first two years. Several partners brought samples to share and discuss about with the rest of the partnership, offering an opportunity of a concrete insight on all the project developments and of future working plans.
To close the meeting, the tExtended partners have also been invited to visit the production factory at ERT and learn more about their innovative experience. ERT is a leading Portuguese manufacturer of automotive interior components, also active in the sectors of footwear, glues and other technical textiles. Within tExtended, they are focused on solutions for integrating recycled materials and managing industrial by-products efficiently.
tExtended will hold its next plenary meeting in May 2024 in Finland.
