The meeting marks the eighteenth month of work of the tExtended project, and it has been hosted by Centexbel at their premises. The meeting has been held over two days, and it has brought together representatives from the project consortium, coming from 10 different European countries.
The partners have been engaged in preparing for the upcoming first review meeting, which gave us the opportunity to review the whole work done on all the project areas so far, discuss which have been the strengths and the successes obtained so far, and measures to overcome the obstacles encountered. During the first day, the General Assembly meeting has been held as well, to discuss key updates on the development of the project so far and planning to further the tExtended working strategy.
The work hasn’t though been focused only on the past: the partners have been actively involved in planning the new project activities that will start in the upcoming months, specifically on starting the implementation of the Real Scale Demonstrator and in co-creation activities.
At the end of the first day of work, the tExtended partners have also been invited to visit the laboratories at Centexbel and learn more about their innovative experience. To close the meeting on the second day, the consortium has travelled to Kortrijk, to visit our partners at De Kringloopwinkel, who are involved in collecting goods for reuse, and to meet as well with Valvan, who are developing groundbreaking technologies for recycling.
The participants have enjoyed a social dinner in the centre of Gent, after an interesting walking tour of the city organized by our hosts at Centexbel. On our social media channels you can find a recap video of the two days of the meeting.
tExtended will hold its next plenary meeting in November 2024 in Porto, Portugal.
